24 1/2in. unsighted nitro barrel with an elaborate acanthus scroll cartouche surrounding 'C. S. COTTON' inlaid in gold, the knox form gold inlaid 'No.1' and with a gold line detail at the muzzle, the receiver mounted with a Swarovski 2,5-10x42 Habicht telescopic sight, serial no. P644009102, in oak leaf and acorn engraved mounts, hinged floorplate with acorn and oak leaf bordering around a central depiction of a roe buck, the triggerguard gold-inlaid 'CC', highly-figured pistolgrip stock with palm swell, cheekpiece, monte carlo comb, pistolgrip-cap, quickly-detachable sling swivels, 14 1/8in. pull including 1in. rubber recoil pad, in a Peli 1750 copolymer transport case

Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that the rifle was built with a new old stock Sako receiver from the 1970's (still in its original greaseproof packaging) and that the stocking and blacking was undertaken by Thompson & Campbell Rifles Ltd. in Cromarty. The barrel is a Pac-nor "super match" premium grade chrome-moly steel and the engraving was executed by Malcolm Long. We are also informed that the rifle has fired approximately 32 cartridges in total since its construction
